Found Object Chain Necklace

A collection of energies, experiences, and memories that define who I am are connected by one central chain. Charms were traditionally given as tokens to symbolize ones milestones, therefore each charm that adorns this piece is a found object that represents a significant moment or period in my life, transforming the necklace into a tangible representation of me. It is a celebration of the experiences that shape who I am, and of the too often unseen aspects of what makes up a person. Representing my anatomy without the inclusion of physical body parts to reject the common objectification of the female form. With the incorporation of multiple chains conveying a sense of protection over the innermost parts of myself.
